Emma Alexson

Independent. Dependent. Loved. Loving. Smiling.

I was born in the capital of Sweden as a curious child. I wanted to know everything. I still do, 26 years later. My curiosity has taken me places I didn´t even knew excisted. My adventures includes living in Australia, Canada, Kenya, Madeira, backpacking Central Amerika and Southeast Asia and also some travelling in Amerika. Returning home from yet another adventure I decided to become a Wilderness Guide. After an amazing year and a half, educated for life, I gratuated in Åre the 16th of November 2007. This was followed by working as a safariguide in Kenya and as an Excursion Manager and a Hostess on a ship, travelling Europe. A trip from Hong Kong to Bali followed, with time to enjoy life. In the end of April 2009 I went to Ireland as a tourleader for a week. April-oktober 2009 I worked as a guide for an activity company near Stockholm. Since early November I wake up in South africa every morning, where I work as a guide and tourleader until april 2010. Always planning ahead, more adventures to come...

I have got published in the Swedish magazines "Reseguiden.se" and in "Utemagasinet". I have written about travelling in Centralamerica, guidelife in Kenya and about the event Fjällräven Classic. Always long to write more so more will come. You are welcome to visit my blog where I write about my life in South Africa (in swedish so if you dont´t speak it yet, an excellent reason to start learning...) sydafrika.getcloser.se

If you want me to smile let´s talk about travelling, skydiving, rafting, climbing, surfing, pictures, adventures and nice people.

Words about me

"We on Aktivut have had the great pleasure to cooperate with Emma during two great events 2007 and 2008. Emma is straightforward, quick and don´t hesitate a challenge. Her flexibility and responsibility made it an easy choice for us to ask Emma to be in charge of the guides during Fjällräven Classic*, a good choice. She spreads positive energy to the group and I hope we will work together again in the future."           -Crister Löfgren                                               Aktivut

"Emma Alexson is one of the very best guides I ever met (been travelling with different companies for more than 45 years). Remarkable!"

-Inara Erdmanis                                                 Guest on a safaritrip in Kenya.

"A tourguide we will never forget. Well-informed, interesting to listen to, considerate and kind."

- Karin & Hans Selin

Guests on a trip to Ireland

"What a fantastic tourguide -Emma- even though she has never been to Ireland, she had a lot of knowledge. She had done her homework well. Furthermore she can really look after her guests, among other things, practical handling at hotels with checking in.

She never showed a sad face even though we had some trouble with the bus. She was always happy and positive! To that she is a very positive and sympathetic person – a real PEARL."

- Diane Bäckman & Björn Jäderlund

Emma- Naturlig, positiv och glad

-- vad som än händer!

Frågor besvaras till oss alla i rad

trots att vi passerat många länder.

Viktig kugge att ha till hands,

vi trodde knappt en sådan numera fanns.

Guideförmåga att göra långa ord korta

lika viktig som allas aorta.

Du är en pärla söta Emma,

vi betygsätter Dig med en femma!

- Margot & Gunnar Hindelius
