Emma Alexson

Independent. Dependent. Loved. Loving. Smiling.

I was born in the capital of Sweden as a curious child. I wanted to know everything. I still do, 28 years later. My curiosity has taken me places I didn´t even knew excisted. My adventures includes living in Australia, Canada, Kenya, South Africa, Madeira, backpacking Central Amerika and Southeast Asia and also some travelling in North Amerika and Europe.

Returning home from yet another adventure I decided to become a Wilderness Guide. After an amazing year and a half, educated for life, I gratuated in Åre in November 2007. This was followed by working as a safariguide in Kenya and as an Excursion Manager and a Hostess on a ship, travelling Europe. A trip from Hong Kong to Bali followed, with time to enjoy life on the road. In the end of April 2009 I went to Ireland as a tourleader for a week. April-oktober 2009 I worked as a guide and instructor for an activity company near Stockholm. Next adventure took place in South Africa where I lived and worked as a tourleader and guide for five months. After a few days at home I went to work on the Cruiseship again as Excursion Manager during the Swedish season. My last adventures took place on a wing of a plane as a wingwalker during air shows. I stood on the wing of an airplane while flying past thousands of spectators dressed like a "skycat". These adventures has so far occured in Cina and in United Arab Emirates.  For now I live in the south of Sweden, full time student, part-time working in an outdoor shop. Always planning ahead, more adventures to come...

I have got published in the Swedish magazines "Reseguiden.se" and in "Utemagasinet". I have written about travelling in Centralamerica, guidelife in Kenya and about the event Fjällräven Classic. I also got pictures published in Metro and the Norwegian Inflight magazine. I just love to write and take pictures and always long to write and photograph more so keep an eye out...

If you want me to smile let´s talk about travelling, skydiving, rafting, climbing, surfing, pictures, wingwalking, adventures and nice people.

Words about me

"We on Aktivut have had the great pleasure to cooperate with Emma during two great events 2007 and 2008. Emma is straightforward, quick and don´t hesitate a challenge. Her flexibility and responsibility made it an easy choice for us to ask Emma to be in charge of the guides during Fjällräven Classic*, a good choice. She spreads positive energy to the group and I hope we will work together again in the future."           -Crister Löfgren                                               Aktivut

"Emma Alexson is one of the very best guides I ever met (been travelling with different companies for more than 45 years). Remarkable!"

-Inara Erdmanis                                                 Guest on a safaritrip in Kenya.

"A tourguide we will never forget. Well-informed, interesting to listen to, considerate and kind."

- Karin & Hans Selin

Guests on a trip to Ireland

"What a fantastic tourguide -Emma- even though she has never been to Ireland, she had a lot of knowledge. She had done her homework well. Furthermore she can really look after her guests, among other things, practical handling at hotels with checking in.

She never showed a sad face even though we had some trouble with the bus. She was always happy and positive! To that she is a very positive and sympathetic person – a real PEARL."

- Diane Bäckman & Björn Jäderlund

Guests on a trip to Ireland

Emma- Natural, positive and happy - no matter what. Questions are all getting answered, even though we passed a lot of countries. You have an ability to make long words short.

You are important to have around, even though we barely thought persons like you excisted.

Emma- you are a sweet pearl, and we give you the highest grade!
